Colors are everywhere, and while we all have our preferences, the colors we choose say a lot about who we are as a person. And on a deeper level, we are somehow subconsciously attracted to certain colors due to our demeanor as a person.

For me, I always loved pink as a young girl. However, through my teenage years, I seemed to lean towards black and olive green. Now, as an adult, I love rich reds, fiery oranges, and (still) black.

One professor, Robert Plutchik from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, based his studies on human emotions. It was during his many years of research that he created the Plutchik Wheel of Emotions. Plutchik’s wheel worked as an illustration of sorts for the years of research that he had conducted. According to him, we have eight primary emotions, and each of them is associated with a color on the wheel.

Each part of the wheel can vary in spectrum, thus changing the intensity of the emotion and corresponding color. However, you don’t have to study the chart to find out what it means for you, as the following quiz is also based on Plutchik’s research. Try it out for yourself, what does Plutchik’s Wheel of Emotions have in store for you
