We are all afraid of something. Whether it is a pushed down subconscious fear, or arachnophobia, we all have something that can send chills down our back.

Some people are afraid of spiders, some are afraid of storms. No matter what you are afraid of, it can be beneficial to have an awareness of the fear to be able to conquer it. There is no other way to conquer one’s fear if they do not admit that it is there. If you need some help figuring out your own subconscious fear, you can refer to the Vladimir Kush painting below.

When you look at the photo below, examine it closely. You should also pay attention to the first thing you notice in the painting. It can reveal what your biggest subconscious fear is. It all comes back to the way our brains are wired. Scroll down for an analysis on what your fear might be!

If You Saw This First it Means…

The Knife – If the knife in front of the apple is the first thing you noticed about the picture, it is likely that you’re most afraid of terminal illness. Aging and decreasing health terrify you, and you’re quite horrified at the idea of death and suffering.

The Caterpillar – If you noticed the caterpillar first it means that you fear malevolent spirits and evil, also known as ghosts. You are horrified at the idea of any spirit or ghost coming back to haunt you. You shudder when any wind blows or when any door is shut.

The Butterfly – People who notice the butterfly overall have a more internal fear. They are afraid of being betrayed. It is likely that you have been betrayed lots in your life, and you have faced some serious rejection. Perhaps the denial of a job interview or some childhood trauma.

The Apple – if the apple is the first thing you noticed when glancing at the painting you are afraid of death, like most people. However, you are deathly afraid of it. You might have recently lost a loved one and you’re afraid to be next. You naturally cannot bear to lose someone else. Death is the overlord in your nightmares.

We are all afraid of something, I’m sure you can agree. Fear is a basic human emotion that is part of our natural instincts. However, you’ll never be able to conquer that fear if you aren’t aware of what it is or where it came from. It is time to come to terms with the harsh realities of life and realize even they cannot take the true essence of life away from us.
