Life can be so very hectic for all of us. However, just a few simple alterations to your morning routine can make a world of a difference.
Of course, none of us are perfect, and there will be days in which we can barely even fix a healthy breakfast before pushing our children out the door for school. But where do we begin to step forward in a better direction? Well, I am glad you asked.
1. Get A Full Nights Sleep
Before you can even endeavor into starting a productive day, a full nights rest is of the utmost importance. Not only will it provide you with the necessary energy for carrying out a successful day, it will also give you a good start in the morning to begin altering your life in a positive direction.
2. Meditate
Even if you can only fit in 10 minutes of quiet time, it can provide you with hours of benefits. Start small at five minutes a day, and work your way up. You will thank us for it.
3. Exercise
Twenty minutes of some sort of activity, whether it be yoga, cardio or even just some crunches and jumping jacks can provide you with endorphins necessary for happiness. Not only that, but your energy levels will be exponentially higher than if you haven’t.
4. Take a Moment to Yourself
Before I do anything in the morning, I fix my coffee, grab a paper and sit outside in the quiet and enjoy my coffee. It allows me to sort my day in my head and to prepare for how I will take on the new day.
5. Allow Yourself Plenty of Time
Even if it means waking at 6 a.m, it can make a world of a difference.
6. Take the Time to Get Ready
While we aren’t telling you to do a full beauty routine, allow yourself time to shower, wash your face, and dress properly. You will feel confident and happy throughout the rest of the day.
7. Eat Your Protein
A protein filled breakfast will fill you with energy, without making you feel tired or drained. It will also increase your focus.
8. Listen to Something Uplifting or Read Something Uplifting
Starting your day with inspirational and uplifting information will provide you with a mood boost throughout your day.
