It is really easy to become dissatisfied with the way your life is going. It seems as if the grass is always greener on the other side, and we are never achieving full contentedness.
Although you can’t really control what is going on around you, you can control yourself. It is hard to shift the way things are going externally, but this isn’t the source of your dissatisfaction. Honestly, if you fixed everything you’re worried about, wouldn’t you just find something else to worry about?
The problem lies within yourself internally. The way you perceive things determines the emotions you feel about them. Although it can be hard to master, you can alter these things as you please. You are in complete control of your internal world, and the possibilities of spiritual enlightenment are endless. If you are dissatisfied with the direction your life is going, here are 10 steps to change your life completely. This isn’t a 60-second fix, either. This takes practice, but I assure you that if you devote your time to these steps you will completely change your life.
Deal With What You Can – To achieve this you must reevaluate your present status. Evaluate all of the things that are bothering you and the things you believe to be negative eliminate. If you have a really bad friend that makes you feel bad about yourself, let them go.
Baby Steps – deal with your issues head on as you go through the journey of life. Instead of worrying about a test for 2 or 3 days, study for one whole day and be done with it! If there is nothing to fix right now, then just keep this in mind for the future.
Make a Decision – You’re more than likely debating on whether or not to pursue something. Whether it be a new boyfriend, job, house, or car, go for it – or let it go. Stop obsessing over the right thing to do. Your gut knows the best thing for you. Make a decision quickly, based on logic.
Fulfillment – Think of one thing you enjoy doing in your life. Now ask yourself are you fulfilling every single day? If you’re not, go do something you love! Stop making excuses for yourself to be miserable! Enjoy your life, that’s the point!
Go for Gold – If you are struggling with your life ambitions, this is the one for you. Stop settling! Once you’re ready to go for the gold, you won’t stop until you have it. Working hard towards a goal can give you adrenaline, and before you know it you’re the new CEO or starter!
Get Out of Your Comfort Zone – If you are feeling like your life has become utterly routine, then go out and new something new! You have had plenty of time doing the things you already know how to do, so go learn a new skill. If you’re nervous about it, it’s okay. It can be difficult to get out of your comfort zone, but once you do, you’ll never feel better!
Be Positive – If you are constantly dawning on the bad things that happen to you and their effects, then no wonder you’re always miserable. In life, bad things happen, and it sucks. However, without them, we wouldn’t be who we are today. Instead of focusing on the ugly, think about the valuable lesson and maturity you gained in your hard times.
Treat Your Body as a Temple – If you are physically healthy, you will be mentally healthy! When you feel good about yourself you can achieve things you’ve never imagined!
Show Gratitude – Always be kind to others, and return the favor. However, when someone does something nice for you let them know that you really appreciate it. People have really lost the ability to show gratitude these days because everyone assumes that it is owed to them. Newsflash; it isn’t.
Love Yourself – nobody deserves your love more than yourself. You deserve love, and you should never feel guilty about it. Being confident and being conceited are two completely different things. If you can’t love yourself, you can’t love other people. Your self-perception is the key to a healthy life. You’re a human, so you’re already awesome!
Focus your extra time on achieving these goals, and you will soon be much happier about your life. If everyone did these things we would have a perfect world. What’s stopping you?
