There was once a time back in Britain where a ‘blackout’ was mandatory. Residents were forced to hang thick dark curtains over their windows at night so that no light could escape.
Of course, during those times some people grew to like the peace that came from this and some people still black out their windows even today. However, currently this is being done with a new twist and it is fantastic. These dark drapes now are being used to block out light and UV rays. This helps them to even trap heat in your home during cold months.
