For those who have not heard of “Project: Self-Love,” it is a stunning photo series that puts an image to the constant body shaming women deal with on a daily basis. These images are pretty mind opening.
This project/photoset was brought to us by Jess Fielder a Jersey-based photographer. For this, she asked seventeen beautiful souls to pose with handwritten signs. On those signs, she asked them to write something that was said to them about their bodies that impacted their self-confidence negatively. Then she had them write something non-appearance related that they know to be true about themselves.
The results were moving and definitely serve as a strong reminder that women don’t owe it to anyone to be ‘pretty.’ Check out the images below from “Project: Self-Love” and let us know what you think. I am in awe!
