Grizzly bears are a majestic symbol of nature and are slowly approaching extinction. Little did you know that the government just passed a law allowing hunters to go into the caves of hibernating bear families and kill them.

Humans have always been at least a little selfish, but modern day society has taken it beyond measures of selfishness. Corporate leaders rule the world and companies CEO’s control our resources. But that isn’t the point; the point is that grizly bears are being killed by hunters in their sleep, and we have to put a stop to it.

Grizzly bears are amazing animals. They are likely the king of the forest – at least they used to be. Grizzly bears have already made it onto the list of endangered species, so we should be preserving the bears – not killing them. They are slowly fading away from our planet and the government is not helping at all. Their decline is due to the immortality of humans destroying their habitats. If we’re not destroying where they live, were killing them and selling their fur. You would think the US government would take at least a little concern with the grizzly bear decline, but instead, they have passed a bill allowing hunters to go into the caves of sleeping bear families and murder them. Seems fair, right?

On over 76 million acres of federally owned land in Alaska, hunters will be permitted to enter dens of sleeping bears and kill them – if the law passes. “What the House did today should shock the conscience of every animal lover in America,” Wayne Pacelle, president and CEO of The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), said on Thursday.

There is a petition you can sign to protest the bill. You can sign it here, and please do. The grizzly bears are depending on it.
